Jun. 12th, 2008 11:38 pmSo...I was at an uncle's funeral/viewing on Tuesday evening. Not a big event, no big speeches or weird stuff like that catholic cult funeral for the last uncle that passed away. Scratch that. There was some weirdness. Before we got to eat the finger sandwiches and whatnot, a lady from the Salvation Army (in which the uncle's eldest son is heavily involved) did say a few words and then grace. The weird bit was her few words. This is by no means accurate, but I shall relate what I can;
"I've only known David for a little over a week while I cared for him in the hospital, but we got to know each other very well. I think you would all agree that he was man that knew exactly what he wanted and how to get it."
*various people in attendance nod and smile*
I don't remember many exact words after that, but pretty much more about how well she got along with him and how such a great happy-go-lucky guy he was. Perhaps you had to be there, but it sounded kinda pervy...I don't think my left eyebrow was the only one raised.
